What cabin harness for P73?
I got a 1999 civic si cabin harness and trying to make it work with my p73 ecu and only the "A" plug fits into the p73. Why isn't the "C" and "D" plugs on the cabin harness? FYI: swapping a 97 itr into my 1997 civic hatch.
Why don't you just adapt the Civic harness to work with the ITR motor? Or is this a bare, theft recovered car that there is no harness?
The 96/97 Civics were OBD2A and 98-00 were OBD2B. So either you need to convert this '99 harness to work with the older ECU or just use or get an OBD2A harness. If you do this, the 97 ITR ECU should plug right in.

It's no secret the 99+ Civic's use OBDIIB. My EM1 is a 2000 model, and i used a OBDIIA ITR P73 ecu plug and play with just a simple jumper harness....easy!!!!!!!!!!!
just wandering did your em1 have all 3 ecu plugs? because the 99 civic si seems to only have one plug which is the "A" plug for the p73? so in that case i have to buy the OBD2B jumper to OBD2A right?
You're close.
'96 - '98 Civic and '96 - '99 Integra --> OBD2A
'99 - '00 Civic and '00 - '01 Integra --> OBD2B
Bonus, nearly all OBD2 JDM Civic/Integra ECUs are OBD2A, the only exceptions IIRC are the JDM CTRs and possibly ITRs.

Thanks for all inputs. Just another question thats brothering me... It seems that my 1999 civic si cabin harness has only one plug for the ecu? i thought all three plugs should be together right? wheres the other two plugs?
The other 2 plugs are part of the '99 - '00 Si engine harness. You must use them together, you can't use a '99 - '00 cabin harness with a '96 - '98 engine harness and vice versa.
shoot...well i'm just using the itr engine harness that came with the motor...is the other 2 plugs on the itr engine harness?
Wrong Sir, 96-98 Civics were OBD2a 99-00 civics were OBD2b.
