Did a compression test today, does this sound okay??

Default Did a compression test today, does this sound okay??

D16Z6 w/ 100 K miles

all four cylinders are around 150

it was tested with a hot - warm motor..

i did it around 15 mins after the car shut down

does this sound good??

it scared the sht out of me when i saw 150
coz i used to have around 175... then i realized that I am doing on a hot motor..
when i got 175, it was a cold motor, did it in the morning..

does 150 in a hot motor sound alright ??

u really want to find out in what condition yout rings are in do a leak down test

...or for a simple quick & dirty test, you can try the old wet compression test. Put a bit of oil in each cylinder before you crank the engine, and look for a compression spike & then drop. This would indicate a poor seal between the rings and cylinder walls, which was momentarily sealed by oil.
