compression test
just got doing a compression check on my 94 civic ex with d16z6. it went #4 155 #3 150 #2 152 #1 152. now does that sound low? the consistency is really good but i thought the psi sounded a little low. i have heard there is different ways of doing it also. i pulled the dizzy and the engine was cold. throttle was closed. and the tester was one you screwed into the spark plug hole. i have also heard of people doing leakdown test. how do you do one? thanks for the help

Re: compression test (sohctodohc)
Sounds like you have a good motor.
I usually do my compression test when the motor is warmed up. I think your numbers are in the 150s (which is still good) because its cold. But the key is that its within 5 of each other, which is EXTREMELY good!

Re: compression test (Doostur)
you can also squirt some oil in there, it will up the compression when testing it but nonetheless the results are certainly GOOD
