Default Injectors w/Resistor Box vs. Stock ???

Alright guys so I am pulling the turbo kit off of my Del Sol, and have come down to the final wire and the only thing left to do is the injectors. The car has 450's in it and the appropriate resistor box. The turbo kit is removed and the car is back to being NA. The car has stock headers / intake etc on it and I was wondering if I was to remove the Crome chip out of the ecu and the jumper and was to leave the injectors and resistor box in the car would it cause any problems to run it this way for a little while? Thanks!

if the ecu is setup to use those larger injectors then it would run yes. if the ecu is stock then you will need to swap in 240cc units.

the problem is the injector box is for the DSM450's that are in the car. The ecu is chipped on Crome for the blue tops, however I can remove the chip, and I have the stock injectors I can throw in, I was wondering will the stock injectors still work fine with the resistor box for the DSM's hard wired in place still?

No, the OBD-1 injectors are saturated and you must remove the resistor box. Using OBD-0 peak and hold injectors may work. But I believe the resistor box is different, as are the clips. -Later, BR

the resistor boxes are all the same. DSM, Honda, a pack of resistors from Radioshack, all the same function wise.

So then based upon that, I could leave the resistor box in there, and put the stock OBD-1 injectors in and they should function fine. Right now, I am running it NA with the 450cc injectors and the chip still in the ECU, is there any real harm in doing this?

you have a chip in the exhaust? lol

there's no real danger in running it like that, it's just going to be running rich as fawk.

you've got it backwards. if you leave the box you must use obd0 peak/hold injectors.

Edited. Guess those things happen when your doing 50 things at once at work lol. So what I need to do it sounds like is get obd0 injectors, take the chip out of the ECU and return it to stock..and leave the resistor box in place?

Or i guess the simple question to this would be how hard is it to remove the resistor box since it is soldered in place? I already have the stock OBD1 injectors, so that would prob be the easiest solution.

indeed it would. just remove the box and solder all the wires that went to it into eachother. or if you have the original dead end plug just reattach it and it will do effectively the same thing.
