Quick question about 5 lug conversion...
Hey ive been searching around and im about to pick up my swap and i was just wondering why in all of the how to threads it says to use ex, or Si-r front knuckles. Ive never seen them but is the geometry of them different where it helps the swap? I was just curious if i could just use my CRX knuckles? Its a 91 Si if that matters with disc brakes all around. If someone could clear this up for me that'd be great.
to do just 5 lug, no it is not necessary. however most people want the itr brakes as well as the 5 lug. for the brakes you need either the 90-91 civic ex spindles, SiR spindles, or 90-93 integra spindles. reason for this is because of how the caliper bracket bolts to the spindle.

i should point out however that if you use the stock crx si spindles, you will either have to find 5 lug rotors small enough to accommodate the stock crx brakes or get the 4 lug rotors redrilled to 5 x 114.3.
