CRX and Brake options. and 5 lug conversion
Before I begin.. I searched for this and didnt find much info. I found the big thread on brakes so I will use that as a reference.
So what I want to do is piece together a 5 lug conversion with bigger brakes for my CRX. Right now I have GSR spindles in the front but I have maddd positive camper and positive caster. I also have the rear disk brakes (not sure what car theyre from but the guy I bought it from, pulled them off his crx) I am trying to do a 5 lug conversion with out actually changing the spindles or rear trailing arms.
My question is: Is it possible to buy a 5 lug hub and get it pressed in to a CRX spindle? Or a civic ex spindle so I can have more options for brakes? What about the railing arms?
I get 51% discount at honda, but not acura.. So I can get some parts from there. Any help is appreciated.

Re: (akandok)
Someone has the adaptors for sale. Thing is that they do not benefit the brakes at all. And in all seriousiness if you want to avoid doing the 5 lug swap for bigger brakes look into using a 2 piston front caliper setup from a NSX (or if your cheap like me use some from a Acura Legend GS I believe, just look for 2 pistons on the caliper). I believe you will have to use a rotor from a prelude. And you should look into a 1" MC when you do that, but only do this if you have added weight to your front end. This will obviously increase your unsprung weight but if you have the power it shouldnt matter. Search up more on that legend caliper setup, dont quote me directly on it.

I did this swap on my 89 civic also. It's crazy.
There is only one way to do it properly so you dont get camber issues.
For the front you need to use 90-91 Integra or 91 Civic EX knuckles. I used the 90-91 Tegs. Then you need to use new bearings and also get the 5-bolt spindle machined to fit in your new bearings...assemble the front and your done.
For the rear you have to use the complete 5-bolt trailing arm. But use all the smaller arms from your car like the little one in the front, the compensator arm, the upper control arm and the lower control arm.
your all set, make sure you use a 91 crx si proportioning valve and try to get a 1" master cylinder and brake booster alsoo from like ar 91 Integra.
Hope this helps

Re: CRX and Brake options. and 5 lug conversion
For whom this may concern, you can use 98+ integra type r disc brakes front and rear, the only modifications needed is a skunk2 camber kit for proper positioning and right adjustment of camber, and you will need to modify your axles if you are using b16 or dseries engine, the b18 uses a 36mm axle nut while the b16 uses a 32mm axle nut. Only thing is your rims will stick out your fenders just a bit but since im going with a widebody kit it works for me.

I bought my crx and it came with wilwood calipers and bigger rotors. Brakes are awesome but I have spacers cuz rotors are so big that caliper will rub rim if i didnt have spacers
