it's been a while like this

when i am stopped in red i sometimes have hard time putting into first gear~
it just wouldnt even go in~

any idea what's going on?

it doesnt even make any sound

 

this happens to everyone I'm sure. The thing to do is put it back in neutral, take ur foot off the clutch, and then clutch back in and you will be fine. it should go right in. My car has been doing this since I got it so I don't think there is anything wrong.

 

I had the same problem a while back and I got the dealer to open the transmission and they changed the first gear syncro and also the second gear. They said there was not much going wrong with it but since it was out of the car and opened they replaced those two items. The car was a charm to drive afterward and it only lasted for a few weeks before it came back the exact same way it was before. I suppose it has something to do with the clutch bearing and alignement more than the syncros or gears inside the tranny.

I have this problem also

 

change your MTF but be sure to use HONDA MTF only and you need 2.3

 

that used to happen when downshifting for 3rd to 2nd. It was alittle hard to get in BUT after 2600 dollars and a rebuilt tranny its all good

Yeah this happens to me as well. Just put it in 2nd then 1st or release the clutch in neutral then try again. On rare occasions I had to start out in 2nd. Not very good for the clutch
