Default Rear end clunk/pop

I've had this problem for a while but it seems to be getting worse. It happens when braking and when going over bumps so I assumed it was going to be my endlinks b/c I have a tanabe swaybar but I pulled it off today and took a quick drive to narrow it down to the bar but the sound is still there! What would generally cause this? Tomorrow i'm going to go buy a ball joint seperator to pull off my rear ucas to inspect my ball joints and replace my 5 year old obx camber kit with oem anchor bolts. What else could cause this headache?

I just installed my Progress sway bar and my car is lowered so it hits the control arm I feel your pain!!! im looking at buying because they are a little narrower. If it still makes the noise when you take your sway bar off then you probably are bottoming out. shocks could be gone. do you have a lowering kit?

I am lowered on some neuspeed sports/kyb gr2s but I just swapped those struts in a few thousand miles ago. I don't think they are blown. If they were I wouldn't care anyway. I just ordered some tein basic coilovers

Check the upper strut mount. It can sometime give a hiddenoise when it is soft.

There's a TSB at least on the 5th gen's for this. I believe it's the shock collar, but not sure if that still applies when you've replaced the shocks already.

I'm in the middle of changing those anchor bolts out and of course on of the bolts is bent and will not come out. It spins freely but it wont budge. Damn!

when mine started doing the pop/clunk in the rear it turned out to be the aftermarket Camber-adjustable anchor bolts for the upper control arm. The bolt had sheared right off.

That was my second thought behind the swaybar links. I just removed my 5yo obx camber kit for new OEM anchor bolts. Hopefully my alignment wont be too far off!

Looks like it is going to be the rear upper ball joints. I'm going to replace them and i'll let you guys know what the verdict was. I'm going with honda ucas from majestic honda because their prices can't be beat.

I use majestic alot. The prices aren't anything to brag about, but they are a little cheaper than my local dealer when you absolutely need OEM parts.

old thread i know....majestic has great prices...but when I ordered water pipe o-rings and a few other little o-rings/gaskets it cost me more for shipping than the parts themselves.... would've been the same price for me had I gone to my local dealer
