how to test LSD
Jack up the car.
Make sure both front wheels are off the ground.
Put the car in 1st.
Turn one of the wheels, the other wheel should rotate in the opposite direction.
If that doesn't happen, you have a turded out LSD.

Resistance? As in it took A LOT of force to turn the wheels? There should be about a 1/2 inch of 'free play' when turning the wheels, then the other wheel should turn.

hey guys, i just had a friend look while i took a corner, i had alot of wheelspin on the inside wheel and he told the the outide wheel wasnt spinning. this isint a common thing with a LSD trans is it?
Lift up the front end.
1) put the car in first and measure how much torque it takes to spin the wheel
2) put it in neutral and do the same.
if 1 divided by 2 is greater than 2.25 you have a problem.

Wow, I never heard of this, where did you get this from?
BTW - to the person who said do a burnout, that doesn't work. Cars without LSD can do 2 wheels burnouts as well.
Best method I know of: put one side on grippy surface, other side on slippery surface, 1/2 throttle, if you get massive wheel spin on the slippery side, you got a problem.
