Why is life cheaper when you stay single? EK Build
So Ive had a Sleeved Z6 block laying around for quite some time and got a hell of a deal on a EK hatch shell. Also have a greddy turbo kit laying around that im gonna use the BOV and Intercooler. I recently sold my 65 Bug drag car so i had no toy to take to the track which made more of a purpose to buy this car. Im shooting for low 11's maybe high 10's on a $3000 budget.

Ive heard of this, but ive also heard that its on start up and while the car is cold, anyone else know of this? Im not to worried about it, im not putting a whole big bunch of money in this engine. After i get done im gonna start on a K swap EK hatch. Ive got another Hatch in the garage with Full GSR suspension, Xmember, Disc and all that.
Nope, Straight 3inch out. Its just a track car and nothing else so im not really worried about noise and if i go Ball Bearing it should sound amazing...

that turbo is too tiny its a small t25 turbo. @ 14psi ur barely hitting 200hp. with vitaras u loose compression because they sit lower then the deck. id rather go with a cp piston instead if ur on a budget. that turbo is gonna max out before u hit 12's.
Im not going with a t25 so its not a big deal.

Im using a Z6 head, it has better flow, and has a bigger combustion chamber due to the quench pads in the Y8 head, for right now im just going to run stock, i can pick up a used crane cam for dirty cheap, even though i dont like used parts. Its really just a debate, if im happy with what the car puts down on the budget build ill probably go full on build with a ported head, custom pistons and what not.
thats because they are made from a different material than the block and expand at a different temperature. you can get an oversized piston and have the block bored a little bit, but it may end up being too tight and you may seize the motor.
