Ok the other day my distributor went out i drive a 00 si orginal b16 no mods.. so i got a new one put it in and now soon as i hit the gas the car bogs down like no power at all is the timming off? there are no cel on

 

Yes, check the ignition timing first.

 

I moved the dizzy every which way and still same thing.. it starts fine and idles but soon as i hit the gas to go the car just has no power barley enough to move

Sounds like a ignition igniter. are you sure your CEL light is working you may have a major problem and dont know. You may be in limp mode.. that wont let your car rev past 3k. Was your new dizzy a white box part or a NEW OE part? I had this problem more than one time bro, sounds like you got a crap dizzy its not uncommon. Return your dizzy and go to carquest they have new oem parts no white box BS... If your timing was off your car would back fire into the intake and or exhaust and you would have a mess, its not timing cause 9 times out of 10 honda wont start if your timing is that far off.

 

Now check the mechanical timing.

As mentioned, does the CEL work?

 

Yea the cel comes on then goes off as it suppose to... the car does rev past 3k.. i got it from bumper to bumper which came in a white box yes

 

sounds like bad dizzy.... i bought a starter from car quest and that thing was crap form the minute i got it

if its white box then its probably remanufactured and who knows if they just slap whatever in the box and sell it

original OEM FTW i also just had my dizzy go bad and just bought a good used one from a seller here for 70 bucks shipped

 

if it were a bad dizzy wouldnt the cel be on? the old one made cel come on after i put this new one on it went off butt im having these problems now
