Default Open header is it ok?

I'm selling my n1 and have to wait for my new exhaust to come in. Is it ok to run open header for a little while?

Travis

I live in Alabama so i think it would be ok. I wouldn't drive the car much at all. I have to wait for R&D to get their T1R and Spoon stuff in.

other than being really loud you should be fine. Try not to drive it to much!

I did it for awhile, because i stripped the screws that hold the header to the exhaust. It's very loud.

Hey, i havn't see him in a while. I've been gone for 3 months and been back for about 2 weeks. All i can say is he must like the green color, though i have to say the color has grown on me as well. He will probly do the same thing he did to your bros car as far as outside. Don't know about power but i hope he does something.

put your old exhuast in the back of your car. then if you get pulled over, tell the cop that you just put on some new header and now you old exhuast doesn't fit and you are going to the muffler shop to get it fixed.

as long as its durring business hours

I've got a kinda on top question about this. I'll be doing my swap on a sunday (about 3 or 4 weeks) and I know that my OEM ITR ex. manifold to ITR cat isn't going to botl up to my DX B pipe. So how loud will this be after the cat, until I can get to a muffler shop?

Pretty annoying. Keep it under 3-4k and avoid hills and slight upgrades.

Basically, try to go downhill and coast a lot.

(this is coming from a guy that thinks his oe itr set-up w/ greddy sp axle back is loud)

just because someone rides open header means they're a ricer... technically, it does have its advantages to ride open header at the track or somethin like that... jg edelbrock's header has the optional b-pipe to ride open header for such purposes...
PYR's cars ride around with open header on their cars... you'll feel the top end although you'll probably come out deaf afterwards
