D16 Distributor
Hey, I have a 96 civic cx hatch. Long story short, the car isnt starting, a friend lent me a dizzy that im trying to dissasemble to try out the ICM and the Ign. Coil .
The starter works, car cranks, I hear the fuel pump turn on. The car was workign it just suddenly died. I figured it was either that or the Main Relay.
Right now im trying to take the Rotor off, we took off the little screw but we can't seem to remove it, on either distributor.
Looking for a diagram or some tips on how to take it apart.
And any ideas on why else the car wouldnt be starting.

Also, if the engine doesn't turn on but everything else does, it doesn't mean your Alternator is good bub. A battery runs the electricity until THE MOTOR RUNS. An arternator runs off the belt drive, which moves when the engine is on. Ding ding. An engine needs a good alternator to even sustain movement or turn on.

We just can't take off the rotor, any tips?

Freaking rotor popped off the replacement dizzy.
But we could not take the rotor off of the dizzy that was on the car, infact we were using a screwdriver for leverage and then the top part of the rotor snapped off, and left the plastic and metal part still attached to the dizzy. We drenched it in wd-40 and we couldnt get it to budge at all.
However, the good news, is that the replacement Dizzy, fired the car right up! :D
So it was more than likely the Ign. Coil like I had said.
Thanks alot for the input!
