I've had these arms on the car for about 4 months; I put 15k miles on them, and the bushings that mount the arm to the frame developed play. Now, the arm is free to move front to back, and of course twist (balljoint towards front and back). I can only feel about 2 mm of play in the bushings (moving them by hand), but I'm sure there's more when they're on the car and bigger forces are involved. When I hit a bump while braking, the arm moves back far enough to scrape up against the side of the shock tower. Not only that, but the play that I can feel in the front end and the clunking is starting to drive me crazy.
What to do now? Call up Ingalls and try to get new arms? They are out of warranty already (90 days), and even if I did get new arms, how long will those bushings last; another 15k miles? I still have my original UCAs with 120k+ miles, and those bushings feel much better than the Ingalls ones; no play at all. Does anyone sell replacement UCA bushings? I don't want to drop $300+ on a new set of OE arms just to get the bushings from them.
