Funny thing about MSD...
Don't get me wrong, I love them. I wish I would have never taken my 6A box off a few years ago, but without FI it really did not do much other than provide an even smoother idle.
I always use their wires and ignition boxes, but I have always used an OE cap with an MSD power tower to make my own cap. Well, this time I decided to go ahead and spend the $30 for the MSD cap.
This is the shocker (or maybe not really). The cap they use is actually a Beck/Arnley, which happens to be the same one I used the last time I made one. Same part number in the cap, and they do the same thing to it that I have been doing for 4+ years...drilling a hole and mounting a power tower on it, then epoxying the screw underneath. Funny!
So, save yourself 10 bucks, buy a cap from Autozone and a Power Tower from your local speedshop, and do it yourself. The Power Tower also comes with a coil wire, so you're all set even if you don't use MSD plug wires.
Now though I really can't wait to get my new ignition box in the car. One last thing, I would recommend using Wells rotors. I think I had a Beck/Arnley last time and the Wells is much nicer, full brass contacts.

Here is a little write up I did last year:
http://www.bustersbeads.com/honda/pr...rnal_coil.html
Here is a link to the Power Tower at Summit, although this one comes with an 8mm wire I know locally I can get it with the 8.5mm wire also, same price too I believe.
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=9076
Wells rotor part # JP901 available at Autozone and who knows where else.
Wells cap part $ JP982 at Autozone also - probably the same as the Beck/Arnley.
If you look under a stock cap, there is a metal contact where the stock internal coil touches the cap. You drill a hole thru the top, in the center of the rounded part. Cut the big end off of the power tower, and simply attach it to the cap thru the hole you drilled. Cover the Power Tower's screw with silicone, epoxy, JB Weld, etc. THen you're done. Should cost you 20-23 bucks as opposed to 30-35 for the MSD cap.
BTW - the picture of the MSD cap on my page is not the one I have, it must be for a different motor because like I said - they are the SAME caps!

Yeah that's no problem. I've been running an Accel supercoil for a year now and before that I had a Blaster 2. You still get a juicier than stock spark.

Almost forgot...I will try to take pics soon but right now I have nowhere to host them. You need to drill a hole in either the cap or the distributor to run the + and - wires for the coil out of. I put spade connectors on the stock wires and ran them to a block which I mounted in the dist, then ran wires from there to the coil. Makes them easy to remove rather than soldering them in.
