i have a 2001 civic ex coupe with 102,000 miles on it and my maintenance light came on recently.
what do i need to do? and how do i turn the light off after i do the maintenance?
i am new to this forum and forums in general

depends, is it the check engine light or the one that says maintenance? i know in my old integra there was this blue button i'd push after the oil change under the steering wheel.

 

oh. i did an oil change before the light came on but idk. its the maintenance record light

 

-key in ignition with it in "off" position
-press and hold the **** on the right on the dash in
-still holding in, turn ignition on but dont start car
-the maintenance light will flash along with the other lights then stay on for about 5 seconds and then go out
-turn ignition off then start the car to make sure it doesnt come on
