ok so im building a crx to take to the track. im just curious if i should keep the abs system or remove it?

 

I would take them off so you so can brake harder faster, but watch out. Taking the ABS off will come with a price, which is simply locking up the brakes and going into a slide.

 

how does your crx have abs? and why did you add if your now going to to take it out?

 

i didnt add it, i bought the car for $300 and it has ABS.

 

Good question... I didn't think of that and I drive an '88 Crx Si. It doesn't even have power steering.

Cheers! It's been a long day for me as well. Busting out 10 hours at work today at the factory in the hot and humid weather, and neglecting to sleep to solve ECU error codes.

 

so what did it have that you thought it was abs?!?! enjoy that beer bud!

 

im thinking if it has a B-series motor in it, the previous owner might have used abs axles??

no worries, you had a brain fart. we have all been there.

 

well I was at work all day and my brother called me asking if we were going to remove the ABS. i was like wtf i dont think it has abs, so he takes a picture of the proportioning valve. so when i got home i just walked up and had a total brain fart moment, i work at a asian repair shop. you woulda thought i would have known better. so anyways i started this thread and after a few replies. It kinda hit me, so i went to the garage and well yeah the rest you already know.. It was the proportioning valve. ughh i feel like an idiot, but nothin a few sierra nevadas wont take care of lol

 

Im in the process of getting my b16a installed hopefully this weekend
