Default 1988 Honda CRX Si B16a2 OBD1 Ecu error

I'm having a little hard time trying to find the correct info as to what my error code is from my ECU.

I have a 1988 Honda CRX Si with a b16a2 motor and a p28 computer (if I remember right) and converted from obdo to obd1.

Whats a good source for a complete list of error codes that would pertain to my set up? My main noticable problem is my high idle right now. It's clocking it anywhere between 1,500 to 2,000 rpms!

Any help is greatful!

is that ECU chipped with the b16a2 base map?

i had the EXACT setup. i still have my chipped P28 ( phearable.net ) if you need one
it jumped the idle around with the stock p28 and when i got it back from chipping it idled normal and quiet. i'm letting it go for $140 shipped.

and the only way to get the codes is to jump 2 wires together and it'll display the codes with your CEL light.

if you have any basic solder knowledge you can chip the ecu yourself, buy a kit from xenocron.com. have them put a b16 base map on the chip. itll be probably around $40.

btw a p28 is obd1 already so the ecu isnt converted i assume you mean the car is converted.

Thats exactly what I did to get my codes to come up on my CEL light. I got the error code 10 taken care of. Error code 6 is still popping up and that is proving to be a major pain in the ***.

Exactly. Sorry I was very tired last night as I wrote my original post.

I'm running my error codes off this site: http://www.extreme-check-engine-ligh...D1_Decoder.htm

Number 6 is the engine coolant temperature. So, I took my sensor off and ran to my local autozone (which is slowly but surely becoming a hellhole in my city). None, I repeat, none of their sensors match up to the one I have. Here is the picture of mine:

Sorry for crappy cell phone picture.

I wasted two hours trying to get this one part replaced. What could I do to solve this issue or find a sensor that actually matches up?

you asked for the sensor from a 99-00 civic DOHC VTEC right? because if u were asking for a stock d series one, i could see how it wouldnt match up

Yeah, I told them I needed the 1999 Honda Civic Si sensor knowing that the motor came from the 1999.

I even asked for the 1988 one (just in case something weird happened) and it didn't match.

In fact, the same damned sensor (that doesn't match to my b16a2) came up on all hondas AND the Acuras I told them to look up. The closest thing that matched was a toyota's sensor (despite having to rewire and solder the plug). I'm not willing to slap that on.

Did you just base it off looks? Or did you actually try the sensor in your car? Its gotta be the right one if it came up n every other honda/acura.

Yeah I did take it home and try to get it to go in.

Apparently what I Was holding was actually the sensor that triggers when the fans come on. FML.
