Default tranny questions

So I bought a b16a that came with the tranny. The problem is i cant figure out how to tell which tranny it is. im trying to order a clutch for it. any way to tell? its a cable tranny if that helps

it should have a code on it like YS1...

Scroll down to the auto fill box and it has a list of the trans codes and what years and vehicles they were offered in.

where is stamped? or is on the sticker because the sticker thing is gone. ive looked a little bit, i didnt see much. my brother is gunna clean the the trans today and ill look at it more tonight

ok so the tranny has a stamp that says YSK1. Ive did a little reseach and im thinking a 92-93 gsr w/lsd but im not sure. any one have any ideas?

Can you see through the diff hole where the axles go? If so its LSD....

All transmissions say ysk1. If its cable lsd than it may be a s1 or y1. Both are very good if not the best cable trannys.

i can see through, so thats good , so what year car would i order a clutch for? gsr?

Just get a clutch for a cable GSR and you should be golden.

yeah im going to order one today for a 92-93 gsr, im thinking of just gettin a exedy OEM clutch because i get crazy good deals on them

What are your long term power goals? It may be worth the extra to go with a ACT....

yeah i decided to wait on the clutch i figured if im gunna do it i should just do it the right way.
