I May Put An 06 RSX Type S K20 Motor In My 94 EG due to such a great deal on the full swap through a friend that is only giving me such a deal. I've Researched the stickies on K20A.org and found some info, haven't had much time to search this site, maybe could have found more info but I very rarely have computer time, so all i keep seeing and hearing is something about VSS-(Dont really know what it is) and speed the speed sensor not working different tranny mounts. i know about the drive by wire issue with the throttle body and i keep also hearing about the engine wire harness. Just Need More Info???

All I want is for you guys to explain every issue I need to know & those issues cheapest alternatives????? Sorry I'm a former Bseries & Hseries guy

 

um, i have an 04 type S in my EG.

Harness =swap harness
VSS= that IS your speed sensor and that's in the trans, i don't see what the issue is with that*may be something im not aware of* buy a Hasport mount set and it will all fit in fine.
you can use the EG wire for the Drive by wire its just long as hell and i think you get the wire fork that holds it on the Intake from a CRV.. i think.

Drive by wire only comes in 06up si and Tsx motor. The 05-06 rsx-s tranny will work but the vss will not work so your mph gauge will not function.I think the 05-06 rsx tran's vss is internal not like the external vss. Swap 02-04 rsx tranny. 02-04 rsx-s engine harness, hasport sub harness is plug n plug easy. Tsx tranny will not fit the chasiss but they might have made aftermarket mounts for it but not sure yet.

 

I also heard something about the 06 VSS locking you out of reverse. What's that about????

there is the TB and the wire and stuff..

as far as the reverse lock out... i've heard of it but i didnt look into it since im rolling an 04.
