brake light switch which are typically found up under the dash of most vehicles and are attached to a mounting bracket which allows the brake pedal when released to push in on a switch which shuts power off to the brake lights.

most of the time they work loose, though I've never had this problem on a honda, I've had it happen on many other vehicles that use a threaded type brake light switch

check the rubber or plastic part on the pedal that will touch the brake light switch when foot is off. its probably broken easy fix and is cheap at the dealer!

What do you mean by brake light, is it your brake light in the back, or your brake light in the cluster?
