I have a couple questions about getting another compressor for my car which is a 1990 std hatch ive heard that you can use one from a DA is this true.

And if not how do i tell which brand of compressor i have so i can choose the right one from advance auto parts.

 

I would just get the correct one for your car from the parts store. Look online for pics of the Sanden TR70 and see if your compressor looks like it, if it does not you have the other one. You can tell them apart by the location of the lines on the top of the compressor and by the pulley size, the Sanden has a smaller pulley and the lines are closer together.
