Default Turboedit on windows 7 not working

So I got a new laptop that's running windows 7 and is 64 bit. Turboedit installs and opens fine but if you try to do anything in the program it doesn't work because it can't find the tabl32.ocx file or whatever. It's supposed to be in c://winnt/system32 folder. That folder doesn't exist in the same place in 7 so I made the folder and it still didn't work.

you need to run turboedit in 32bit compatibility mode, at the very least. I think you can right click on the turboedit icon and go to properties and set it somewhere in there.. That is most likely one problem..
