take a look at the all motor 1.8L dyno to get an idea of what cams and part combinations will make the power you want.

For the head, you cant go wrong with Skunk2 EVERYTHING. Valves, springs, retainers, cams, manifold

pro 2's might be over kill, im doing a similar build, but with b16 pistons... i have a typeR head with everything skunk, but im going with pro 1's even those may be a bit much...

with the pro 2's your going to give up a bit of driveabilty and bottom-midrange power... i would say, for you the tuner 2's or the pro 1's like me

thats a HuUUUUGE difference...you should be debating between pro1's and tuner 2's

there a 10 page thread somewere in the all motor section about these cams for ls/v... unless your building a full out race motor you would hurt power withthe pro 2's...alos the valves would probly hit the pistons with them

you can make 190-200whp easy with type r cams and have no headaches with reliability and idle and valve springs, etc. the other cams use more rpm and that lowers motor life. if i was going to be happy with 190whp then I'd probably just use the itr cams.

i would stop worrying about the head and buy a crank girdle for the block and type r oil pump. If you want theres some people that have put in oil squatters in the blocks for even more reliability. And if its a daily motor, don't take it past 8,200rpm's. That's just what i would do for a solid strong motor.

Please define easy. I am at 190whp with ITR cams and it was not easy or cheap.
If I had a 89mm crank maybe, that would have given me 5-10whp. I also still have PS hooked up, maybe a few more there.

I would look at S2S2, Pro1, BC4, RM22x, JUN3, BISI Level 3.
If you have a well built set-up any of these should get you in the power range you seek.

just go b20 vtec if your goin all motor, alout more torque and thats what it comes down to in a allmotor race and shop around for a block girdle. There all great and will DEFENETLY save you're bottom end.

yea but what was his compression and exhaust size and what tuning program is he using. You need the lower end power to back up a high lift cam like pro2's.

i would say get a great port job on you're head and do supertech 12.1 compression pistons, stock rods arp rod bolts, block girdle, type r oil pump.
skunk 2 pro1's and supertech flat valves with springs n retainers.
camp1320 header or ssr header or bisimoto header
2 1/2" straight through no cat no rez just muffler
3" intake piping cold air, into a 70mm throttle body and edelbrock victor x intake port matched to the head.
440cc injectors,
with a good tuner on pump gas, ull be a happy customer. LOL
that's what i would do lol.
