Default Trick to slide spline all the way into spindle - HELP

I am replacing the front axle on the passenger's side on my 91 Hatch DX. Everything is easy except putting back the outer spline into the spindle. I can't get the axle to slide all the way in so I can install the axle nut. Thanks.

I did this when I removed the old axle. I am install the new axle but I can't get the outside spline to slide all the into the spindle so I can put on the axle nut.

If all else fails just remove the hub from basically everything attached to it.

sometimes you have to use force... it doesn't always slide in. also, if you have some anti-seize or something, grease the splines and the hub and that'll helpyou .

you dont use force if none of your splines are lined up dummy, your gonna end up damaging the spline.you can use for force when part of the spline is inserted and take a rubber mallet and hit the rotor.

smack the cvaxle into place with a rubber mallet, then take off the lower controll arm from the CHASSIS, pull back, slide cv axle in, bolt lca back on and put nut on

edit: get a friend to smack the cv axle in while you "walk it in" i advise to use gloves of some sort

i hope you weren't referring to me as a dummy... if you read the OP, he can't get the axle all the way in... and if force weren't required, explain what taking a rubber mallet and hitting the rotor would be an example of...
