CLIFF NOTES: Dumb thread, you arent missing anything.


Well I was going to sell it, its been sitting in my garage for like 2 months. I went to start it and trashed my belt - got a new belt, went to start it again and it wouldnt even idle right and would stall out. So I start it again and just give it some gas and she smooths out... so I drop the ebrake and put her in reverse and ... FAWK im riding up my ramps I hit the brakes. I get out... no ramps! Awww **** my rears are rusted up...

So since ive already gotten farther then I have I figure it cant get any worse, ill just rev it to hell and break em loose. So I do - and they do... and im outta the garage and onto the street! So I take her around the parking lot a few times and hit the brakes hard both in forward and reverse to clear out any rust build up and im out onto the street with no inspection sticker. Not far - just upto the local groccery store parking lot to do what I TRIED to do a month ago. I put a new set of stock wheels on and I wanted to make sure they were all ok. And she looks good so I head home and start working on the few spots of rust that are left. I have to goto work tomorrow for 9 hours and im a wuss so I need my sleep!!

So I popped my trunk lock out and started working on that. Since it doesnt work anyways (well it works but its a seperate key then the door / ignition key) im just not going to put it back in. And for some strange reason I fell back in love with Ol Rusty ! Im no longer going to sell her, im going to pickup a sander which I dont have - sand down the rest of the body, finish up what little repair work I got left and primer the whole car and shave my trunk lock. Nothing else because I want my door handles and I want my door molding because people here in upstate NY dont know how to open doors without putting a dent in the car next to them. But I will primer them and the mirrors and rain gutters and paint them all the color of the body.

Nothing fancy I guess - im also going to pickup some A/C for the DX - whole system (or so I think) and a new suspension and new brakes all around and wait it out till 3 weeks before spring where ill bring her back into the garage, do some quick prep and resurface the car and give her a new paint job. Someone make sure I stay on track - with money coming in this is actually an option. No bills right now ROCKS!
