ok so i have a d16y7, im getting fuel, air, and spark timing and firing order perfect and it wants to start but wont. I dont have one of the bolts that hold my valve cover down and when i attempt to start it, it starts to smoke out of that hole and smells like gas. could it be a valve leak? Pleaze people help me out here. thanks

 

Compression test the cylinders.

 

yeah i did a compression check and it was like between 90 to 120 and then did a wet compression check and it was off like 5-10 but that isnt bad at all.

 

There's a 25% difference in compression between cylinders. This could be the problem.

 

dang. mite as well just start with a gsr swap that i was plaaning in august. thanks for the help man.
