HELP!! obd1 d16z6 into obd2 96 civic dx
Well heres the deal, i have never done a swap like this before so i was wondering if you guys can help me out. I bought a shell a few weeks back in hopes to get it running asap as i have seen tons of 96-00 motors on craigslist for sale...but like always now that i need it i couldnt find one! So i resorted to what is dime a dozen, a 92-95 sohc vtec d16. As we all know the 92-95 civics are obd1 and my 96 is obd2 so i know the motor will fit right in but dont know what it takes to get it running as the dude i bought it from said all i was gonna need was my 96 harness, p28 and a jumper and to run the vtec wire and that was it. Now how about the knock sensor issue?
So can u guys please tell me i steps if possible or a list of what it will take for this motor to be running healthy and correct on my 96 civic dx (no check engine light too) ??
1. My car : 1996 Civic DX Shell (no motor)
2. What i have so far: Complete D16Z6 swap w/ harness, obd2 to obd1 jumper, motor mounts for both years, my 96 dx harness, 96 stock p2e ecu
3. What i want to accomplish: A healthy running d16z6 vtec obd1 motor in my obd2 civic dx w/ no check engine
Any info will help thanx!!!

1. Use a 1996-1998 civic engine harness
2. Use the obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper
3. Use an obd1 p28 spec ecu
4. Re-wire anything that needs to be modified on the engine harness. Read http://www.phearable.net/tech (swap diagrams) also check out hondaswap.com's tech sections on their forum.
Concerning engine mounts, also refer to hondaswaps articles or do a search on here.
