I have a 2001 civic ex. The maintenance light is flashing 5 times each time the car is started. I'm not sure how long it has been doing this as my wife drives this car. I took it to autozone for a scan, but no error codes.

Yesterday, when she drove it, the instrument cluster wasn't working (turned the car off and started again, but still no gauges). After driving it for a bout 5 minutes, the Maintenance light flashed five times and then the instrument cluster was working again.

Not really sure where to start.

Any ideas?
