yeah thats the cel.
so it came on when you installed the new cluster?
check youre old cluster to see if there is a bulb where the cel is supposed to be.

I'm pretty sure there is another bulb that is the CEL. That's not it. Now I have to go out and check the cluster.

its not a cel light. jdm has a check engine light under the fuel/temp gauge part.
the one i'm talking about has like engine overheating pic or something.
see:
please post if you know! don't gimme that BS stuff!

I think, not sure, that the JDM EG6 clusters have a light for overheating catalytic convertor. That could be it...like I said, i THINK they have this light, but not 100% sure...

exactly. that was it is cause the jdm car (or at least some that i know) has a wire that come out of the cat (sensor) which run to the ecu/cluster.
it just a over heating on the cat sensor light
it just a over heating on the cat sensor light

Exactly
I don't know why yours would be on though? weird.....
I had mine for the longest time and I never had that prob so I wouldn't now how to get rid of it.
My best guess would be to remove the light from behind the cluster.

like everyone said before it is for the catalytic converter light, yours should not come on because you dont have a sensor for it, well if you took the bulb out and your other lights work properly then you're fine.
i wonder why they needed a overheating cat light. i thought the cat works better when hotter?

But what could you do if your cat was overheating? Pull over and wait for it to cool off? Splash water on there? I don't get the point of that warning lamp

to bring this back from the archives...
i just wired my JDM overheating cat warning light to my VTEC signal, and ran my own wire, and pin to the cluster (since the USDM chassis doesn't have anything for that pin).
i have a turbo VX.. yes 1.5 E VTEC, and i can't really tell when VTEC is on, and i basicly wanted to really know when my ECU is in open loop (VTEC). so thats why i did it.
i'll post a small video soon.
