transmission fluid
Hi people,
Its been say, about 20 months after new tranny , and drained fluid. It was between pinkish to lt brown. also, I noticed a little "fuzz" , metal needles on the magnetic plug. Is this normal? If so, man, Im not happy about it. Dont need the trans to quit again. Next time, I will change it at 12 months at the most.......
Oh, its a 2001 civic, 1.7L, EX........automatic, not manual.....
Thanks, men!

Yes, that is normal. As long as there are not peices of metal (shavings) then you're okay. How many miles or kilometers have you put on the car since the rebuild? The transmission fluid should be changed every 60,000 kms or 30,000 mi in my opinion.
Yeah, the metel was so fine on the plug, not sure what to call them. When I went to rub ttthe mass off with a newspaper it was like mush.....probably not big enough to even cause a splinter if one tried. Sound normal, 97?
Thanks!!
