Im pretty sure you want the 04-05 acura el front end because those are the only nice ones. In order to do this you would need:

1)EL front bumper
2)EL healights
3)EL front fenders
4)EL hood
5) lot of money

I've seen this done before on a civic and it looks sick, im just not sure which year his civic was so i can't tell you if it can be done on your '01 EM2...

There are more parts to that list, I can assure you. Oh, and it can be done to an '01 EM2.

PS. You're very accurate with your fifth statement. It was incredibly expensive.

Ya im sure there are very many parts that i didn't include although those are the basic ones, and the most expensive ones haha.

Just want you to make sure that the fenders/hood of your civic won't fit because the headlights of an EL are different.

EL's up here have really started losing their value. the cheapest way to do the conversion would be to buy a rear ended EL then sell all the leftover spare parts...

i personally wouldn't bother w/ the swap though...those EL's are everywhere around where i am. what's rare now are 7th gens in good condition. they're now around 5-10 years old, meaning most are becoming beat up...

I've had the front clip swapped for about two years now.

As for the total parts list, it was around $4,700 from Honda of Canada (including shipping). Now I'm debating on replacing the headlights with new OEM pieces and getting the city/parking lights from Canada as well. When I did the work to install my current pair, I had to dremel out the housing a little to accept the '01 Civic's turn signal bulbs. I'm regretting that decision (fogged headlight housings). I could go through the process of making locking clips for the existing lights, but I may just re-wire to accept the Canadian bulbs. I'm undecided at this point.

Hehe... I don't know, to be honest. Maybe because I've been here longer? *shrugs*

I just do what I think looks, drives, and feels good.

Matt, I think your car would look sweet with the fog lights too...however I know you've stated you don't really care for them. Your car is a track car, so they aren't really needed but I just think they'd look sweet.

It's too late for fogs, since I cut those pockets out and put in some CF brake ducts.

I'm sure my setup information is floating around out there since I've been around H-T for years.

Suspension is HKS Hypermax Type RS's with 11k/13k Swift Springs (but there's tons of other suspension components that I don't feel like going into detail on)

Engine is still just my '06 K24A2 swap with an '03 K20A2 transmission... but Winter of big-build-happy-go-lucky-beef is coming up. The car will go out of public eye for about a year and a half to two years for a rather serious upgrade (engine build, my Rotrex will be mounted, custom sub-frame components, chassis/structure re-working and strengthening, and plenty more). It's been something I've put off for a while, and finally have the time and (more importantly) the space to complete the work. (I do all my own work, with exception to TIG welding, since I'm no good at it... yet.)

Ahh... that explains the questioning. Nothing wrong with being new, in all fairness, I was just curious.

I know you probably have been asked this but do you rub with that set up (fenders rolled?)? you have over sized tires and you track like that? .. i dont see many people with the hks suspension so im curious how the body roll and stiffness is with that kind of wheel set up.. might be my next set of coils.. with the addition of other parts aswell

Search, because I don't do "demands".

On hard corners I most definitely rub, but I do also have a more significant amount of negative camber in the front. I've tested a ton of setups thus far, to try and eliminate understeer, and this is the closest I've been to perfecting the cornering capabilities. After the next build up, though, I'll be trying something even more "ludicrous" by some people's standards.

In order to clear tires of my magnitude, you'll need to do a LOT of body and suspension work.
