hello all
i recently installed a hid kit from ebay, and now have a alternator problem
first the hid kit crapped out on me after couple of weeks of using it.
then i take out the alternator and get it tested and says that the unit passes, then i put the unit back and i get the same problem. then while with the alternator put back in i get it tested at a local parts store. the meter reads that the alternator is not giving any power to the battery. thats the first problem
second i pick up a new alternator and get it installed, and the new unit squeaks non stop, its not the OEM alternator but is for the honda civic. i'm out of answer and have a fat headache. i need some help please

 

Did you install the alternator yourself? If it squeeks, then it might be because of the belt? if it's the alternator, then return it and get another one.

 

yea i did it myself, its kinda simple but very odd that this time around there is a squeak that is major annoying, i'm thinkin its the alternator but when its taken off and hand spun it doesn't make seem the squeak

 

are you sure that the belt is tightened properly? loose belts can squeel
