Alternator Problems
I have replaced my alternator 3 times in the last 4 years, and it looks like its going to be a 4th time here shortly. Currently, my alternator light only comes on when accelerating. Is there a wiring short or something going wrong here that I am overlooking?
Do you have your belts on there tight enough? You shouldn't be replacing your alternator that often. If you can, see if any wires are exposed or cut that lead to the alternator
The belts are tightened to specs. I tightened them a little bit extra to make sure. I noticed that there is a little bit of corrosion on the terminal B connector, could that be a problem? I do have a lifetime warranty on my alternator, but I'm getting sick of replacing the bastards!
if you have gone thru 3 already then you either have a wiring problem from your alternator to your battery, or you have a short somewhere that is over loading your battery causing to much strain on the alternator, though i doubt that since your car would be dead everytime you went to start it
