Default Honda Rod bearing question?

Engine is for LS b18b1.

I have a set of After market Scat rods. I am wanting to use OEM honda rod bearings. I know honda has them all color coded, i know the only way to know what exact bearing i need is to measure the rod and crank, but i dont have the tools to do it. So i need some input if you guys have use scat rods with oem honda bearings, what size/color did you use for the rod. (Again this is for a B18b1 LS crank/rods)

You can buy a pair of the green bearings and measure the clearances from there. I would buy a micrometer instead of possibly wasting money on a pair of bearings though. Micrometers are cheap and you will probably use it all the time.

Inaccurate micrometers are cheap, I recommend to spend the extra money to purchase a highly precise and accurate micrometer with a very fine resolution (which is what you want for engine building).
And to properly measure bearing clearances you need a bore gauge also.

Yes, i know i would need all those expensive tools but again i hear people running honda green bearings on forged rods. Honestly i always do the right way of buliding or buying any parts but i always use ACL bearings, but i want to use honda bearings for this build and would just like some input. Thanks for the response guys.
