Default PICTURES... HELP ME FIX THIS OVER BOOST ISSUE

THIS IS HOW THE MANIFOLD WAS BEFORE AND WITH A 7 PSI SPRING I WOULD HIT 16LBS @ 9K IN 3RD GEAR AND 18 PSI AT ABOUT 8500 IN FOURTH WITH A BIGGER SPRING 10-14 IT WOULD HIT 16LBS ALOT FASTER

WASTEGATE OFF AND HOLE IN MANIFOLD LIKE THIS IT BOOST 0 PSI ALL THE WAY TO ABOUT 6500 THEN SLOWLY BUILDS UP TO ABOUT 6 PSI @8600 RPM THIS IS ON PUMP GAS

I WOULD LIKE THE CAR TO RUN NO MORE THAN 15 PSI ON PUMP GAS ANY SUGGESTION ON HOW TO REDO THE NEW WASTEGATE USING THE EXISTING HOLE... I FIGURED CUT IT AT A ANGLE (STRAIGHT PIECE) AND WELD IT ON SO THE AIR FLOWS RIGHT INTO IT?

sorry about the caps guys just realized lol... let me know what yall think... if i could get it to hold lower boost that would be great this is a 46mm wastegate from precision and a precision 6262 my goal is to be able to run like a 9 psi spring or so and be able to hold that boost with the smaller spring it spools slower ;( car was tuned at 14.5 psi motor is fully built

thanks in advance

Ok, so to get things straight, with absolutely no gate and a hole in the manifold and it still made boost?

what size gate is the hole for? i'm sure a 60mm would do the trick, lol.

Looks like it broke, you can't really cut a tube off and make it look like that. That's an interesting way to figure out if it's a wastegate problem. lol

Definitely looks like that broke off. Two wastegates or one big *** 60mm would do the trick.

BTW, does your tuner know of this? lol

Its seems like all these billet turbos have creep issues. I had my 6765 creep to 18psi with a 7psi spring. I added another wastegate so hopefully that issue is solved.

What was your engine and manifold/WG setup?

Okay. So it had nothing to do with it being a billet wheel'd turbo. You have a larger turbo, on an efficient engine and setup, trying to regulate a lot of exhaust through a small 38mm wg down to 7 psi. Not gonna happen, I'm afraid. :p The twin 38's should work well enough for you.

i had same problem with sls topmount and s362 tryen run 10psi on 44mmgate it would creep to boostcut at 18psi. Now i took manifold off for 4th time after trying add teardrop and bought new 44mm gate, finaly had local shop cut off 44mm and add dual 38mvs gates(10psi springs), still creeps to 12psi but Holds at 12psi to revlimiter in every gear, its just too much pressure trying to bleed off at low psi, i say you get dual 44 if u can fit them
