i have put a d16a6 cam in my d15b7, i installed a d16y8 cam gear which is 1/2 off from stock which i was told i needed, i cant run a adjustable gear beacuse of the class i run doesnt allow it. with that all installed and the tdc marn and lines on the cam lined up with the head my car pops and doesnt idle well, i jumped the wired near the ecu and checked timing with a light and my car was 60 degrees advanced with the distributor all the way retarded. so i retarded the cam gear 1 tooth so now the car is 1/2 tooth retarded from stock with the gear i have installed.. now with the distributor at full retard im at 24 degrees advanced, seems to run good but i wanna make sure that i have done everyhitng right.. im new to the honda motors. am i right or do i need to change somthing???
