civic wont start
Prior to this my car started up everytime. Today I drove my car to school and parked it. I came back 2 hours later to find out that my car will not start. I push started the car and came home.
1)starter checked out fine, benched tested it and it works
2) Battery was fully charged
3)the little led wire going into the starter works as well.
What it sounds like is that I have a loose positive connection somewhere (I checked the battery and the starter) but no loose wire. It could also be that I am grounding out somewhere too.
The 2nd thing I found was this little electrical box near my fuse box it is gray and says Mitsuba Relay ***'s Main R Z-0132
what is that thing. It clicks when ever I try to start the car. I don't have a manual to find out.
So 2 things I need help on
1) why my car wont start
2) what is that little gray box and is it related to my car not starting

Similar thing happened to me. My car would lose power so when i turn the key, nothing happens. It turns out the ground wire and the positive wires on my battery were loose. I bought new terminals and hasn't happened since. Check the connections in those. Now if the car is cranking but it won't turn over, the main relay might be going out. Something worth looking in to. Oh and what year civic do you have?
the car will not start if I turn the key. It does sound like a bad starter. All you hear is a click from my dash and nothing happens. Starter does not engage.
The main relay doesn't smell burnt. Smells more like metal than a burnt electrical stuff

well if the starter doesn't engage then either the ignition switch isn't sending power to the solenoid trigger wire, or the starter solenoid is toast. have someone test the trigger wire for power while someone else holds the key in crank. if you have power at the trigger wire, then the solenoid is bad. if no power, then check the ignition switch and related components.
I will say this before I go and test out everything D16SiHatch said
with the key in the on position I used a wire and jumped power to the trigger wire and still no start. Just a click and nothing else. I do lose power for a second until I hear another click and than I have power again. Sound to me more like I'm grounding somewhere or a relay is not working right

A very common cause for this problem is a bad safety starter switch located at the top of the clutch pedal, or the rubber stopper that presses against the switch has broken or fallen out.
^true, but if that were the case for op then running a jumper wire to the starter should have worked. since it did not i would say either the starter solenoid is bad, or he has a loose power/ground.
