Hello, got a 97 honda civic, good car. When I bought it the break light would come on when I accelerated, now it stays on all the time.

Does anyone know what that could be?? Thought it was Emer brake only but, is it another indication as well??

wow read so many on the same topic this week... Your brake fluid is low. check your fluid level.

 

yep. indicates brake fluid level also. check your level in the reservoir. if full, the floater could be getting stuck...

 

I wondered if that might be it, since it came on slowly and then finally just stayed on, would probably indicate a resvoir that leaked out slowly.
