If i recall correctly lotek is some cheapo chinese made OEM replacement shock. They ring a bell and that's the particular bell they ring.

I had the same feeling, I don't recall ever hearing this name before.

EDIT--- A quick ebay search turned up this.

Yep, wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole.

Edit: Did a couple google searches, and several other car forums had either:

A) never heard of them, or B) had purchased them and they blew in short order.

Neither would I. They just seem like another one of those "ebay'' brand parts..

You couldn't buy 2 Koni Sports with what that full set of shocks cost, should tell you something.

Just for the heck of testing the parts i used this on my 99 civic ex when money was tight.

Lotek silver shocks. im impressed so far. they hold fairly good. ( cannot expect the quality of a good name brand i have used skunk2 performance, kyb agx, tokico whites, in previous setups for a accord, civic, and two mitzu eclipse ) but i went cheapo this time thinking it will at least get me till i have some money.

Its been a little more than one and a half years now and i still have the fronts holding tight with no issues. one rear blew 3months ago other rear was holding does not have pressure like the brand new but almost there. ( i replaced the rear two again yesterday with the same brand so was able to test the pressure ) "MAY BE I JUST GOT LUCKY AND GOT A GOOD SET FIRST". i would go for tokico's and skunks anytime over these though just so i know i have good trust worthy shocks. but just wanted to let you guys know these worked for me. i probably will get a set of lotek gold (shorts) and test out and do a review.

I just wanted to let you guys know i have a drop in my car aprox 2-3inches so i was expecting these shocks to blow way faster than this because these are OE replacements with a little stiffer but for some reason only one shock blew. for the price i would not complain at all.

FYI: i do not track on this car but still drive aggressive and i do push the car to the limits ( not all the time but i do when its safe)

I will take a pic in the eve and upload it so you can see what it looks like.

This would be appropriate:
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Sorry for the rambling, i tried my best not to give out wrong information. I should have nailed it to a T but then it would sound as if i was like a lotek dealer. Unlike you there are people with a very tight budget at times who cannot afford Koni's and running blown shocks. I would think any person who has a bit of brains would understand its better to have some sort of shocks than running with blown shocks. so think about what you are going to spit out before throwing it out at somebody

All this says it all to me. Waste of money. If anyone is that tight on cash, then don't mod your car.
