I just installed kyb gr-2 struts with ground control coilovers and it rides like crap. From searches and stuff some people talk about trimming the bumpstops, i didnt even put them back in. I only lowerded the back about 2 inches shhould i trim themor just put the whole thing in? NEED HELP ASAP!!

Bump stops won't affect how smooth your ride is. Sorry to say, but is probably your shocks. KYB GR-2s are essentially OEM replacement shocks and cannot adequately dampen the higher spring rates of the Ground Controls. However, it is a good idea to trim off about half of the bump stop and put them back in.

ahem.. TRUE the bumpstops do not affect the handling and stiffness of the ride however, Bumpstops definetely can affect how your car reacts to just that... bumps and such, I don't know where you purchased your GC's but they usually send new bumpstops along with them.. And if you didn't put any bumpstops in there at all.. PUT THEM IN!! They will help with that whole metal against metal sound when/if you bottom out. REmember the dust boot cover as well. and he is right, even if they are "off the shelf" spring rates, the gr-2's will handle like stock shocks. Maybe your just not used to it yet. Sorry but without a more in depth description of "rides like crap" there is no way to diagnose the "problem" good luck.
