Was driving the car around the block today and it just died. The car cranks but no spark, I pulled #1 plug grounded and started and no spark. I checked all the wires, plugs, fuses and everything looks good. The car has fuel going to it just no spark. After messing around with it for an hour or so I went to start it and it started up and ran for a min then died again and just keeps cranking again. This leads me to believe its something intermittent probably the coil or igniter?

I have checked the plugs, wires, fuses, timing belt, cap, rotor, timing, and fuel. The car has NO check engine light and it IS getting fuel, I have NOT checked power going to coil or anything of that nature as I have no test light or anything. Any help is appreciated as it is my daily and need running asap so any suggestions are much appreciated.

 

A test light is okay but get a voltmeter it works better. You can pick one up at harbor freight for $2.99 and a better one at sears or even walmart for around $10-15. When you get one check your coil it will probably be that.
