All I want to know is the cost of a paint job. I want to get it painted midori green. It doesnt have to be perfect with a 2000 dollar clear coat just basic and the stock look. I searched and found nothing on the cost of a decent paint job here on this site. I live in Tampa/St Pete. Please keep all bullshit out of thread it's a simple question thx

 

The color of a paint job doesn't effect price. It costs depending on the size and amount of labor cost. At the shop I work at, we sprayed a whole dodge intrepid for 2000$ without doorjams and underhood paint. Also included a lifetime warranty. But I'm in clermont/orlando area.

 

i jst painted my integra midori green. the paint is really expensive here in queens ny. .cost me 63 for one pint and i used a gallon and one pint. depending on the painter u shldnt need more dan a gallon. i bought extra pint cus i needed to paint my door jams

 

FYI the color of the paintjob does affect the price, trust me I repainted my del sol milano red, and Red IS the most expensive color.

Its hard to give a straight anwser to this question, cause all shops charge different amounts. ballpark 1000k people are prolly going to say thats too low, but I could easily see a shop charging that amount. but some shops might charge 5k.

i just bought this color today to respray my hatch which was already midori but had body work and a new front end. the paint cost me about 280 for two base coats and clear coat. My buddy is painting it for 150 so the whole paint job is costing me a little over 400 :]

 

good deal, on my paintjob I paid 350 for paint and 400 for labor, I had a family friend do it (its always nice to know people)

 

If you're paying more than 4k on a paintjob and it's not either a giant car, or chameleon. Then you're getting ripped off.

 

Thats not true,It also depends how the conditions of the car,and the owner expectations.Wants top quality products,shave the moldings,have the body extremely straight,prime,blocksand,prime,blocksand,prime.Alo t comes into play.

 

My bad, I thought we were talking normal drivers with already stock/straight bodys, not tunermagazine cars.

My point is there are better shops for less out there, just saying do the homework and shop around, cus shop prices are not set in stone, I'm sure they'll work with you. or just make friends with painters like the guy above
