OK im stumped i have looked all over and have wired my sidemarkers what way i had thought was right..But i need help..

To start off i have a 94 Ej1 and OEM sidemarkers with pigtails. I went to Lowes and bought i think 14 gauge wire and shrink tubeing and made it all pretty..lol I got the holes and everything cut and installed and when i went to wire them into my Corner lights i was wireing them so when the headlights come one the sidemarkers will too. and when the turn signals come on they will blink. So i took the Red wire to the Red wire and the Green to the green..
(see pics) and they dont work..

Any help would be greatly appriciated..

Here are the pics..so all i have right now is some fender reflectors..any help would be Great!!

*does the size of the wire matter?
*Do i need a ground if the wires im taping into are already grounded?

 

i wired mine to the trun signel red to red blk to blk and it worked

hmmm, that's odd. I just did mine on my 98 ej8 and i wired red to red, black to green so it blinked alternately with my turn signal. Do your turn signals work?

 

Yeah they work fine..i think i might try new bulbs..Start with the easy things first..Who knows how long they were in the socket..They dont look burnt but you never know..

That's funny - that's how it should work. Yeah, try the bulbs.

Also, you say to reference the pics, but I don't see any photos of the sidemarkers actually mounted in the car - with the RED connected to RED/BLK and the GRN connected to GRN/BLU or GRN/YEL (depending on side). Since the photos are of the sidemarkers on the "ground", hopefully this doesn't imply that you think they are "grounded" ...

 

NO they are on the car..lol..But i wouldnt put that past some people in this forum to think or even say that..

And for the pics i have a pic of them on the car but i didnt snap any pics of where the wires connect to the corner lights wire..But im gonna try bulbs, I think that it might be the problem..
