How many ITRx's were made?
Ive talked to Tyrant and he doesnt have the production numbers for the ITRx. I need to know how many ITRx's were made in total. If anyone knows the number and where there is proof of these numbers please let me know ASAP. I am currently trying to obtain this info through Honda of Japan but havent had any luck yet. Thanks.

This doesnt answer your question but its a start.
Production figures for Japan.
Year....DC2....DB8
1995--1289...292 = 1581
1996--9455...2292 = 11747
1997--4692...908 = 5600
1998--5110...915 = 6025
1999--2253...499 = 2752
2000--2035...229 = 2264
2001--25.......0 = 25
2002--1.........0 = 1
Total DC2's 24,860
Total DB8's 5,135
Grand Total = 29995
Interestingly there was 1 DC2 sold in 2002, apparently it was a yellow ITR-x and was sold to Mugen.

If these are the totals, then surely less than the total 3-doors that year. They went on sale Dec 16th 1999, so I don't know if they would all be considered 2000's or not.
ive heard the one sold in 2002 was to Mugen. it was a PY ITRx.
nobody seems to know how many were produced! I need to get a hold of someone whoes stationed over there.
im not sure if they were considered made in 99 and 00 or just 00.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the JDM Rx pretty much has the same options as the USDM ITR's. (ABS, keyless entry, clock, CD Player, Tint, 6 speaker stereo system, etc) I know that the USDM R's don't have the yellow stitched rear seat/steering wheel/shift boot or the Yellow Recaros.

I did a short writeup on special edition ITR models (or very very limited) that show some of the Type-RX stuff at the bottom: http://www.integratyper.org/specs/special-editions.htm

The UKDM/EDM ones were the same sequence under 2 separate markets. Australian ones were like our 98-01 ones.
You are correct. Allthough, these options were standard on the Type-Rx at no extra cost.

Separate. Here's a list of the different ones: http://www.integratyper.org/specs/badges.htm

That's what I figured. Hell, I'm surprised someone heard anything about it! It makes me wonder who in the hell would have any info on this. I doubt anything will surface, BUT the ITR thread has surprised me more than once!
I think you have started a never ending quest.
One MAJOR thing to remember is that in some countries you don't go to a dealership and pick out the car you want and drive it off the lot. you go there and ORDER the car you want, then it's made. So finding production numbers will probably be slim to none as most type Rx's were probably made to order from existing chassis....
As you can see in the pics below, interior/exterior colors were optional.
the pedals offered, were also available on the standard R's etc etc. thus for this creates a lot of variables as to what people might consider to be an RX.
My guess is that the production numbers are mixed in with the existing known numbers.
As a company doing large scale business it would only make sense to take a production R and put in a few bolt on optional pieces, consider it an Rx and be on their way. Why would they need to create and release production numbers for a car that simple just has a few different interior options? Any documentation that does exist is most likely for the companies internal records and not for public release.
here are some pics to save, and a link to an old RX thread.
