Default Pondering a build: F20B/F23

Well some of you know that I had a f2b setup in a car about 3 years ago. I've sold all the B series stuff, but I still have the f20b. I was doing some thinking about what I should do with it. I never really got the engine to run right. I believe that I had some electrical and not mechanical problems but anyhow. Enough babbling. Here's what I've come up with over the last couple hours

F20B Block. Standard 85mm bore. Has iron sleeves compared to the FRM sleeves of the h22. Allows for forged pistons without using aftermarket sleeves.
F23 Crank. The f23 crank has the same 55mm main bearing journals and 45mm rod journals as a B series. Only difference is the 88mm f20b stroke and the 97mm f23 stroke
F20B Head
Endyn Rollerwave piston. 85mm bore with +7.75cc dome, 29.97mm compression height. .827" pin bore.
Eagle Rods. B18C shelf units. 45mm Journal, 5.531" length, .827" piston pin
OEM 3 layer f20b head gasket. .030" as new, using .026" as a crushed (torqued head) height.

The numbers I got as of http://www.zealautowerks.com/ was:
11.4:1 Compression Ratio
.021" Piston to Deck Height
2201.71 cc Total Displacement
1.45:1 Rod Stoke Ratio

Not really an idea rod/stroke ratio, but the d16 and some h22's use low 1.50's. Just curious as to what you guys think about this

ive heard dsm cranks work well with accord motors not sure of the f20b but since its so similar to the h22 l would think it would give u a better rod stroke ratio

you got a 50mm main crank in your 1997 f20b. Why I remember this from 3 years ago, I don't know.

The F20B has 55mm main journals just like the h22a4... Op sounds like a pretty decent setup.

The 97 doesn't. Him and I both know that for a fact

I currently have the engine in a storage unit but I'll prove it to you once I get it out and start workin on it

F23 rods are unique. You can either pay for custom rods or get in on the group buy for some custom ARP rod bolts:

So basically you are saying I could use a f23 rod if I upgraded the rod bolts in it? But then wouldn't I have to find a custom piston. I was unable to find a 85mm shelf unit with the pin bore that would fit the f23 rod

I know this thread is old but it came up on a search of mine and I felt that I needed to correct some information in it. I have picture proof that my '97-stamped F20B uses 55mm main bearings and does not follow the convention that the H22A4 did here in the US. I don't know why someone would say otherwise unless they had something one-off. I'm picking my block up from the machine shop this week and can get better pictures of the stamp and with a digital dial caliper on the main journals.
