inhereted minty 85 civic. a few questions
so i just inherited a 85 civic. 4 door, super clean inside and out for an 85, always garaged, ~150k miles, and even has a/c! (currently not working). was well maintained and runs great but has a rough idle. i'm gonna do a compression test among other things eventually, but i was wondering if there are any fuel injected engines that swap in for easy/cheap. performance is out of the question, just looking for mileage/reliability/LESS VACUUM LINES!!! hopefully the engine is in good enough shape that i won't have to swap it, but i'd like to know for future reference.
you can de-vac the engine bay.. an EW Si motor will drop in, but there's a lot of wiring and fuel items that need to be ran. you can get a donor 86-87 teg and throw in the D16a1 from that..
besides those two options, you'll have to do a lot more wiring and mounts, etc..
