turbo d16, tunning turbo with stock exaust/cutout
Hi , I am wondering how muh of a difference my a/f ratio will be when running a stock exaust and haveing a cut out.
I wias thinking mabye running 2.5 pipe with a type r muffler as i want a really quiet stock soundinf exaust , but i dont want to kill my power. Hence the cut out.
any thought or tips. ( i have tunned a good aount of cars but never one on a cut out.

I would rather go with a greddy sp or apexi world sport instead of the type r muffler.
I have the greddy sp that is gutted with no cat d16 turbo and its quite...not raspy or anything.

well I decided to run a 05 mustang gt stocck muffler. They happen to bre the same muffler they use on the gt500 so it can flow well. and its 2.5 in and out. Found 2 of them for 35 buxs. Should be nice and quite and still flow well enough
AFR isn't all that bad. I have a 3" downpipe to 3" e-cutout. Then 2.5" exhaust all the way to a thrush turbo muffler from oreilly. E-cutout open my AFR is 11.7-12.0 while with it close AFR is at 11.3-11.6 or so. Part throttle and cruise is no difference except quiet or loud.

but i sure love having my 3" ecut-2.5catback, dont worry about noise tickets anymore and car sounds like stock when cruizing, than open the switch and hall *** sounding like raped ape..
