Default timing belt walking off a d16z6

i just put a swap in my 91 crx si and when i start it up the timing belt starts to walk off i changed the tensioner and still same thing.. currently working on it so please help asap

okay i looked futher into it and found there are two guide washer i guess thats what they are called on each side of the crank pulley but now after driving the rex it sounds like a 2 step at 3500 and when i shift its sluggish.. any suggestions on that problem? i thought maybe it was the chip in the p28 ecu but i pulled out and same problem.. going to bed any help is appriciated thank you

Yeah those guides must be on there, they'll make the belt track properly. Line your engine back up to TDC, you're off a couple of teeth.

Did you even try looking at whether the car is at TDC?
