Default wheels and tires for 96 CX hatch?

I'm looking at upgrading to either 15" or 16" rims and was wondering what's the tallest tire that will fit without rubbing. I plan on maybe dropping it 1.5" or less.

So far I've been tossing the idea of 205/50/15 or 205/45/16 (maybe 215/45/15?). The roads are pretty bad here , so I'm leaning towards the 50 series 15's.

Any comments on Rota wheels? do they hold up good to regular use? Has anybody used stock 2001 EX 15" steel rims? or do these weigh too much?

Also, anybody have pics of 96-00 hatches setup similar??

15" wheel would be best with a 195-50-15 or 205-50-15. i have a 99 hatch its lowered 2.5" and right not i'm running 195-50-15's on 97 gsr wheels. the wheel well just barely tucks the tire right now. i will be switching to itr springs and i'm sure i will have a pretty big gap but i will live with it. also try doing a search i'm sure this topic has been covered.
